Went to a Bull Fight

I went to my first bull fight today. It was a real Mexican experience - just what we hoped to have. I'm not sure the event is one that I'll choose to attend again, but it was interesting.

It sure started out well when I got in for free and was greeted by two beauties with a shot of Tequila! That's the way we should greet guests at theatrical events!

I took about 220 photos and have picked out some good ones for you. Not too gruesome, but you should know that the bulls do die in the end. No happy endings.

Thanks Duncan. It was just me (Chad) while the girls stayed home with a movie. The Teatro de Toro is only a block away from our house. That was cool.

I wasn't sure that the girls would enjoy, so I decided to do a scouting trip before bringing them. There were a lot of kids there and it wasn't overly gruesome so if they want to go next weekend, I'll take them.

Ole, indeed.

Fascinating with great pictures. A *real* bullfight could never happen here...I'm glad you didn't pass up the opportunity to experience something like that.

Great pictures! You should get online and read more of the history of the traditions that go on during a bullfight. It makes the whole thing much more interesting - like knowing baseball stats is supposed to make baseball more interesting (I wouldn't know). I found it fascinating when it came about that I had to teach it! When my host Graciela saw your post she told me that bullfighting is prohibited in Argentina and most of So. America.
