Our friend and landlord, Pablo, took us on an excursion to the canyon just East of Guadalajara - Barranca Oblatos. The kids were thrilled to not need car seats as we went speeding through the city. The views were stunning and the exercise was a welcome change to our routine.The canyon creates a natural border for the city and prevents unchecked growth on all sides. They have built the city up to the edge of the canyon, but thankfully, it appears to be relatively untouched.
